Past Experiences

No matter what we do, or how we work on it, our past experiences always stay with us and affect us in some or the other way.

Good, or bad, it will always be a part of you and affect you indirectly or directly.

It is you, who has to make the choices, don’t leave decisions for your life in someone else’s hands. It is only you, who knows what you want and what needs to be done.

We learn from the mistakes that we make in our journey of life. No one is perfect enough that they could live a life without any mistakes or regrets. They are important for you to learn and grow, become a better person. It is important to make mistakes, learn from them, and move on. Our mistakes in the past don’t need to affect the present or, our future.

We sometimes use the memory of our past experience to make the choices for the future. As we all know since childhood we are exposed off to a lot of experiences set up by our peers, parents, teachers and society. They all become a crucial part of our upbringing and as we grow and transition into adulthood, we see that it reflects in our behavior and actions. The ability to judge things, fear of failure, risk-taking capabilities are all developed as per the conditioning we go through while we are in our early teenage or later stages of life where we develop consciousness to adapt to things. We also try to adapt to social norms more than our personal intensity to walking the path accordingly.

Childhood Experiences

If your child wants to pursue a career in music instead of Engineering, let him give it a shot. Let him follow his heart. Don’t force him to do something he doesn’t want to do, which he might regret for the rest of his life. A good childhood experience is characterised by stable, responsive and caring relationship with family. Our childhood experiences define us as an adult.

If you feel that, that person is not right for you or harming your mental peace, don’t let him do it, let it go. You will find someone better, who deserves you, wants you and loves you.

Introspect yourself, know more about yourself, talk to your own self. No one can tell you what to do or dictate your life. It is you who needs to work on ourselves and learn from our past to move on for a better future.

Keep the right people around you. Don’t let people try to harm or take control of your live. You can’t run from your past. You can’t escape or change it either. What you can do is face it, learn from it, embrace it. Own up to it. You are not what you were in the past. You learn from it. Don’t let anyone or anything take control of your life.

In order to succeed in life, sometimes we need to break this conditioning and need to develop a whole new perspective about things. We need to re-learn or unlearn some of the knowledge we acquired to unleash the whole new future.

Don’t let your past take control of your future. Own it, learn from it, and move on!

“The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.”

                    – Walt Disney
