Are you messed up because of so many things? Not able to complete your tasks on time? And time moving very fast that you can’t imagine! The clock always ticks, time never stops, So managing time properly is very crucial to allocate the right time for the right activity. It helps us to choose specific timeslots to activities as per their importance. In other words, we can say to make the best use of time, as time is always limited.Time management is a life skill to learn and achieve success in life.

Helps You Relieve Stress – Make a schedule and follow it. Following a proper schedule will help in reducing anxiety and help you to feel free.

Gives You More time –Managing time gives you extra time to spend in your daily life. Good time management results in enjoy having more time to spend on hobbies and other personal pursuits.

You Get More opportunities & Achieve Goals- Proper time management leads to more opportunities to help you move further in your career. You get to utilise time in an efficient manner to enhance your productivity. Hence, you get more opportunities to fulfil your goals.

Tips for Effective Time Management:

Prioritize wisely – Always Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency. Here are some points which should be followed while prioritizing tasks:-

  • Important and urgent: Do these tasks right now.
  • Important but not urgent: Decide the time, when to do these tasks.
  • Urgent but not important: Delegate these tasks to someone if possible.
  • Not urgent and not important: Set these aside to do later in your free time.

Set a time limit to complete a task – This is a very important task. Setting a time limit for completing tasks helps you be more focused and efficient. Make an effort to decide how much time you should be taking for completing a particular task and which will also help you recognize potential problems before they arise.

Take a break between tasks – If you do tasks without any break, it will ultimately stress you a lot and will be harder for you to stay focused and motivated. Try to take small breaks between your tasks so that it will clear your head and refresh yourself. Try to take a nap, go for a short walk, or meditate.

Organize yourself- Always keep yourself organized. You can use your calendar for more long-term time management. Write down all the deadlines of your project or tasks that are part of completing the overall project. Set the best day for a particular task and write it on the calendar.

Remove non-essential tasks/activities- Remove excess activities or tasks from your list. Delete all unnecessary tasks. Determine the important activities or tasks and what deserves your time the most. By removing such tasks helps frees up more of your time to be spent on genuinely important things.

Plan your day – Make your habit to start every day with a clear idea of what you need to do – what needs to get done THAT DAY. And at the end of each workday go ahead and write out your “to-do” list for the next workday. 

The skill of time management should be learned by everyone and mastered for a better lifestyle. By proper management of time, you will no longer suffer from stress and will also help you to kill the blues of procrastination. It overall leads to a positive mindset with the ability to think and act better.
