Veganism as we know is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal derived ingredients. Many vegans also avoid white sugar and some wines that are specifically processed using animal products. This kind of diet is very famous in UK, USA, New Zealand, Canada, Germany and so many other countries. Although very less people know that the concept of flesh avoidance was traced back in ancient Indian and Mediterranean societies.


You must be thinking what a difficult life vegans lead but it’s actually the opposite. Most of them are very satisfied with their new lifestyles. It’s a whole new world of exciting foods and flavours. It has all kinds of fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, seeds, beans and pulses. There are endless no. of amazing recipes which you can try from these sources and it’s never boring. It has newly made pastas, pizzas, cakes, curries, salads, pancakes and the list goes endless. Plant- based milks are also quite trendy which makes it even more amazing.


Whenever we hear the word ‘vegan’ we think of it as a diet including plant based milks and salads, isn’t it? But it’s not just about the diet, they make sure that they do not use animal products in any form which also includes cruelty free accessories, clothing, makeup, bathroom items, shoes and carpets. There are so many vegan friendly restaurants now and grocery stores also offering vegan products.  Also, there are websites which offer cruelty free products.  There’s so much to learn and know about veganism, so before you ever like to be one make sure that you know all the things.

  • It is proven to be healthy regardless of any age group. Children, pregnant women, adults and old people can have a vegan lifestyle.
  • It can help you lose excess weight and help you maintain that dreamy figure ( if taken correctly), this is also one of the many reasons celebrities are shifting to vegan diet.
  • It also helps to lower blood sugar levels and improve kidney function.


There’s no such diet that can be considered the best. People should be eating according to their body types. People nowadays have a myth that vegan is the best diet you can have which is completely false as it also lacks in some vital nutrients. Vegans too have to be considerate about their diet, although they still have many options but they can’t just have anything in the name of term ‘veganism’. It’s totally your choice if you want to be a vegan or not. Like every diet, it has its own pros and cons. So, choose wisely whether you want to turn vegan or stick to your own diet.
